Carina Chowanek is a visual storyteller and conceptual painter. Growing up in East Germany in the 1980s, the concept of freedom is still a central to her life and thinking. The artworks are mainly based on animal kingdom, but are often closely related to human behaviour. It is a personal perspective on our being, with a playful wink at reality.
